Baylor’s Jana Van Gytenbeek, a Cherry Creek graduate, advances in NCAA Tournament with win over Nebraska

Former Cherry Creek High School star Jana Van Gytenbeek helped lead the Baylor Lady Bears to a 67-62 victory over the Nebraska Cornhuskers in the NCAA Tournament on Friday, March 20.

Cameron Indoor Stadium hosted the contest, which began at 2 p.m.

Van Gytenbeek recorded 12 points, four assists, two steals and one rebound in 31 minutes on the court.

The Baylor Lady Bears are scheduled to play their next game on Sunday, March 22 at 4 p.m., again at Cameron Indoor Stadium.
