Bo Nix set a new franchise record for regular-season wins by a Denver Broncos quarterback during the 2025 NFL season, leading the team to its first division title in ten years and an appearance in the AFC Championship Game.

To mark Nix’s birthday, DenverBroncos.com reviewed his top ten plays from the 2025 campaign. The list highlights key moments that contributed to the Broncos’ successful season.

One notable play came late in Week 11 against the Kansas City Chiefs. With the game tied and facing third-and-15 from his own 21-yard line, Nix moved right under pressure and completed a pass to Courtland Sutton. This conversion extended what became the game-winning drive. “If the pass had fallen incomplete, the Broncos would’ve been forced to punt it back to Kansas City, giving Patrick Mahomes a chance to win the game. Instead, the drive continued and led to a victory.”

Nix’s athleticism was also on display in Week 2 against the Indianapolis Colts when he escaped pressure and threw a high-arcing pass to Troy Franklin for a 42-yard gain. In Week 9 versus Houston, with less than a minute left in a tie game, Nix ran for 25 yards to move Denver into field-goal range.

In another highlight from Week 11 against Kansas City, five plays after converting on third down, Nix made a touch pass to Franklin for 32 yards. Wil Lutz then kicked a field goal for the win. “It was just one of many examples of Nix being at his best in the big moments.”

A dramatic comeback occurred in Week 7 against the New York Giants when Denver scored 33 points in the fourth quarter. With seconds remaining, Nix connected with Sutton on a back-shoulder throw that set up another game-winning field goal.

During his first career playoff win over Buffalo, Nix threw a touchdown pass to Lil’Jordan Humphrey just before halftime for a crucial lead: “In a highlight moment, Nix hit Humphrey in the end zone in stride for a 17-10 advantage that gave the Broncos some breathing room in a Divisional Round matchup.”

Against Houston’s defense later that season, Nix delivered an accurate throw over All-Pro cornerback Derek Stingley Jr., resulting in a touchdown catch by Sutton.

The comeback win over New York featured two rushing touchdowns by Nix in addition to two passing scores. His final touchdown run secured Denver’s lead late in regulation.

Another memorable play came during “Sunday Night Football” against Washington when Nix avoided being sacked and managed an acrobatic touchdown throw while falling: “Replays showed Nix was somehow able to keep his shin and knee off the ground before he released the throw…”

The top-ranked play occurred during Denver’s playoff run as Nix threw an over-the-shoulder touchdown pass to Marvin Mims Jr., putting Denver ahead late against Buffalo: “While it was a terrific throw and catch, it also earns this spot for the importance of the moment — and for how Nix made a statement on a big stage.”

Although injury prevented him from playing in the AFC Championship Game, these moments defined Bo Nix’s second year with Denver as one of significant achievement.
