The Denver Broncos have made changes to their roster ahead of the upcoming AFC Championship Game. On Saturday, the team announced that center Luke Wattenberg has been activated from injured reserve and added back to the 53-man roster.
As part of a corresponding move, quarterback Bo Nix was placed on injured reserve after suffering a season-ending ankle injury during the Divisional Round victory over the Buffalo Bills.
Additionally, wide receivers Michael Bandy and Elijah Moore were elevated from the practice squad to the active roster for Sunday’s matchup against the New England Patriots. Bandy has participated in four games this season for Denver, recording four receptions for 50 yards and one touchdown. Moore, who joined the Broncos’ practice squad in December, has not yet played a game with Denver but brings experience with 209 career receptions for 2,274 yards and nine touchdowns.
Wattenberg had previously started every game across the first 15 weeks of the season before missing four games due to injury. He returned to practice on Wednesday and is now eligible to play in Sunday’s game.
The Broncos are set to host the Patriots in the AFC Championship Game at 1 p.m. MT on CBS.
