A former wide receiver for the Denver Broncos is rejoining the team. The Broncos announced on Tuesday that they have signed Brandon Johnson to their practice squad.
To make room for Johnson, the team released center Michael Deiter from the practice squad.
Johnson previously played in 20 games with the Broncos between 2022 and 2023, where he made 25 receptions for 326 yards and scored five touchdowns. During Head Coach Sean Payton’s first season with Denver, Johnson had 19 catches totaling 284 yards and four touchdowns.
Most recently, Johnson played in three regular-season games for Pittsburgh in 2024. In 2025, he was part of both the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ and Pittsburgh Steelers’ practice squads, according to Pro Football Reference.
