The Denver Broncos may see the return of two players from injured reserve for their upcoming game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Guard Ben Powers, who has been recovering from a biceps injury, and inside linebacker Karene Reid, sidelined with a hamstring issue, both participated fully in Friday’s practice session. They are listed as questionable for Sunday’s Week 16 matchup.
Both Powers and Reid must be activated to the team’s 53-man roster before they can play. This marks Powers’ first full practice since being designated for return last week. Reid has taken part fully in all three practices this week.
Wide receiver Pat Bryant, also dealing with a hamstring injury, was a full participant for the third day in a row and does not have an assigned game status. This suggests he will be available after missing last week’s contest.
Other players who were full participants on Friday and are expected to be available include defensive lineman John Franklin-Myers (rest), running back RJ Harvey (ribs), tackle Mike McGlinchey (neck), wide receiver Marvin Mims Jr. (biceps), and center Luke Wattenberg (ankle).
Inside linebacker Justin Strnad is the only Broncos player ruled out for Sunday due to a foot injury sustained during Week 15 against the Packers.
The Broncos will host the Jaguars on Sunday at 2:05 p.m. MT on FOX in a meeting between two leading AFC teams.
