The Denver Broncos have made several roster moves ahead of their Week 15 matchup against the Green Bay Packers. The team announced on Saturday that inside linebacker Jordan Turner has been promoted from the practice squad to the active roster.
Turner, who had already been elevated in three of Denver’s last six games, has recorded three tackles and participated in 59 percent of the team’s special teams snaps. According to league rules, a player can only be elevated from the practice squad three times per season before requiring a promotion to the main roster.
In addition to Turner’s promotion, wide receiver Michael Bandy and quarterback Sam Ehlinger were elevated from the practice squad for Sunday’s game. Bandy has played in two games this season and caught a pass against Houston. The move comes after Denver ruled out wide receiver Pat Bryant for the upcoming contest.
Quarterback Sam Ehlinger, who has previously spent time on Denver’s active roster this year, is being elevated for the first time this season.
The Broncos also signed tight end Marcedes Lewis back to their practice squad after waiving him on Thursday. Lewis appeared in four games this season and played 25 percent of Denver’s offensive snaps during those appearances.
Denver will face Green Bay at home on Sunday at 2:25 p.m. MT, with coverage airing on CBS.
