The Denver Broncos announced on Mar. 10 that they have re-signed inside linebacker Alex Singleton to a two-year contract, keeping the team captain in Denver.
Singleton has played for the Broncos for four seasons, starting 49 of his 55 appearances in both regular season and playoff games. He has led the team in tackles in three of those four seasons and started the last 36 games he played.
The veteran linebacker has recorded at least 120 tackles in five of his last six seasons. After recovering from an anterior cruciate ligament injury in 2024, Singleton returned to start 16 regular-season games and led the Broncos with 135 tackles during the 2025 season. Last year, he also contributed three tackles for loss, three quarterback hits, one sack, a forced fumble, and four passes defensed for a defense ranked third in scoring across the league.
Singleton was recognized as the team’s most recent Ed Block Courage Award winner after missing only one game in 2025 despite undergoing surgery for testicular cancer midway through the season. He played in Week 10 against the Raiders following his diagnosis before having surgery and returned to action after Denver’s Week 12 bye.
In addition to his recent achievements, Singleton posted more double-digit tackle games in a single season than any NFL player since 1999 during the 2023 campaign. He also set a franchise record for most tackles by a Broncos player in a single season since at least 1991. Before joining Denver in 2022, Singleton spent three seasons with Philadelphia and previously played in the Canadian Football League.
The Broncos have also announced new contracts for offensive lineman Alex Palczewski and tight end Adam Trautman.
