The Denver Broncos have secured a spot in the 2025 NFL playoffs after defeating the Green Bay Packers 34-26 on Sunday. This marks the first time since the 2014-15 seasons that Denver has reached the postseason in consecutive years, both under Head Coach Sean Payton.

With this victory, Denver becomes the only AFC team to have clinched a playoff berth so far this season. The team’s qualification for the playoffs in Week 15 is their earliest since 2014.

The Broncos are now aiming for further achievements as they approach the end of the regular season. They can secure their first AFC West division title since 2015 if they win against the Jacksonville Jaguars and if the Los Angeles Chargers lose to the Dallas Cowboys in Week 16. Earning a division title would guarantee Denver its first home playoff game since hosting the AFC Championship Game in 2016.

Denver currently leads the AFC standings by one game over New England, putting them in position for the conference’s top seed.

“The Broncos will make consecutive postseason appearances for the first time since 2014-15 and have now made the playoffs in back-to-back seasons under Head Coach Sean Payton.”

“Denver is the only AFC team to secure a playoff berth so far this season, and Week 15 marked the earliest the Broncos have secured a playoff spot since 2014.”

“Following the Broncos’ win, Denver can clinch its first AFC West title since 2015 with a win over the Jaguars and a Chargers loss to the Cowboys in Week 16. With a division title, the Broncos would be guaranteed to host their first home playoff game since the 2016 AFC Championship Game.”

“Denver also sits atop the AFC, as the team holds a one-game lead over New England in the race for the No. 1 seed in the conference.”
