The Denver Broncos announced on Apr. 25 the selection of tight end Dallen Bentley from Utah with the 256th overall pick in the 2026 National Football League Draft.

Bentley’s addition is part of a broader effort by the Broncos to strengthen their roster, particularly at the tight end position. The team had already chosen another tight end, Justin Joly, earlier on Day 3 of the draft.

“I’m just grateful to be out there and grateful to be part of Broncos Country,” Bentley said Saturday. “I’m just excited. Doesn’t matter when or where you get drafted — or undrafted — you’ve just got to make the most of every opportunity you get.”

Bentley started for two years at Utah, recording 48 receptions for 620 yards and six touchdowns during the 2025 season. His performance earned him third team All-Big 12 honors and recognition as a semifinalist for the John Mackey Award, which is given each year to college football’s top tight end.

“I think I’m a really great hybrid tight end who’s able to go out there and make the big plays in the pass game and stick my hand in the dirt and make some big plays there,” Bentley said. “I’ve got great hands, so I don’t drop balls. So, you can trust me in some situations.”

Bentley will join a group that includes Evan Engram, Adam Trautman, Nate Adkins, Justin Joly, and several other players competing for spots at tight end.

In addition to Bentley and Joly, Denver selected running back Jonah Coleman, offensive lineman Kage Casey, and safety Miles Scott earlier on Saturday.
