As the Denver Broncos have secured several wins this season, television viewership for their games has seen notable increases, according to data from CBS. Local TV ratings in Denver have risen with each consecutive CBS broadcast of Broncos games since the team’s 21-17 victory over the Eagles. Ratings continued to climb during subsequent wins against the Giants, Cowboys, and Chiefs.
The most recent game against Kansas City drew a 28.5 household rating and an 80 percent share in Denver, meaning that 28.5 percent of all local households with televisions were watching the game and 80 percent of TVs that were on at the time were tuned to the broadcast.
Nationally, the Week 11 win was watched by 29.890 million viewers, making it the most-watched program of any network that week and marking it as the most-viewed Broncos game on any network since 2023, according to CBS.
Local viewership in Denver is up by three percent compared to last year through Week 11. The city ranks as CBS’s eighth-highest rated market for NFL games this year.
Several individual games set recent records for viewership:
– The Week 5 win over the Eagles was the most-watched “NFL on CBS” singleheader since 2013 and was also the highest-viewed Week 5 CBS singleheader since 1998.
– The comeback victory over the Giants two weeks later became the most-watched Week 7 singleheader on any network since 2015 and was second only to one other Week 7 CBS singleheader since 1998.
– The blowout win against the Cowboys ranked as that week’s most-watched program across all networks and was also the second-most watched Week 8 CBS game since 1998.
– In their victory over Kansas City, which improved Denver’s record to 9-2 against them, viewership again topped weekly charts across all networks. The reported audience of nearly thirty million made it the second-most watched Week 11 CBS game since 1998.
CBS reports indicate that “as the Broncos continue their season, they’ll continue to look for more big wins — and more big viewership numbers.”
