RJ Harvey, a running back for the Denver Broncos, has been nominated for the NFL Rookie of the Week award after his performance against the Jacksonville Jaguars. In Sunday’s game, Harvey achieved a personal best with 121 scrimmage yards and scored a touchdown on 11 touches.
The rookie, selected in the second round of this year’s draft, averaged 7.1 yards per carry during the game. His highlights included a 38-yard touchdown run in the third quarter. Additionally, he averaged 17.8 yards per reception, with his longest catch going for 32 yards.
Harvey has now reached at least 100 scrimmage yards in two of the Broncos’ last three games. He currently leads all rookies in scrimmage touchdowns this season and has received six nominations for NFL Rookie of the Week so far. He previously won the award in Week 8.
