Inside linebacker Justin Strnad is expected to return for the Denver Broncos after missing Week 16 due to a foot injury. Strnad was estimated as a full participant in practice for three consecutive days and was not given a game status, which typically means he will be available to play.
The Broncos conducted a walkthrough on Wednesday, so player participation reports were based on estimates rather than actual practice sessions.
Five players have been ruled out for the upcoming “Thursday Night Football” game against the Kansas City Chiefs. These include linebacker Dre Greenlaw (hamstring), tight end Nate Adkins (knee), wide receiver Pat Bryant (concussion), center Luke Wattenberg (shoulder), and inside linebacker Karene Reid (hamstring). Greenlaw, Adkins, Bryant, and Wattenberg were all listed as nonparticipants throughout the week. Reid participated fully in all three estimated practices but has not yet been activated to the 53-man roster after being designated for return before Week 16.
Tight end Adam Trautman was added to the injury report with an illness and did not participate in Wednesday’s estimated session. However, Trautman was not assigned a game status.
Cornerback Riley Moss (ankle) and guard Ben Powers (biceps) were also listed as full participants during the week and did not receive game statuses, suggesting they are likely available.
The Broncos are scheduled to play the Chiefs on Christmas Day at 6:15 p.m. Mountain Time on Prime Video.
