RJ Harvey has been nominated for the NFL Rookie of the Week after his performance in the Denver Broncos’ 27-26 overtime win against the Washington Commanders. Harvey contributed two rushing touchdowns, including the decisive score in overtime, and recorded a total of 62 scrimmage yards.
During the final drive, Harvey began with a 12-yard reception and provided key pass protection before finishing the five-play, 76-yard series with a 5-yard touchdown run. His efforts helped secure Denver’s victory.
Harvey is currently tied with Ashton Jeanty, who was selected sixth overall in this year’s draft, for the most scrimmage touchdowns among rookies through Week 13. This marks Harvey’s fourth nomination for NFL Rookie of the Week this season; he previously won after his game against Dallas in Week 8.
If Harvey wins again, he will be the first Broncos running back to claim multiple Rookie of the Week honors since Knowshon Moreno achieved that feat in 2009.
Other nominees for this week’s award include Tyler Shough from New Orleans, Quinshon Judkins from Cleveland, Kyle Monangai from Chicago, Lathan Ransom from Carolina, and TreVeyon Henderson from New England.
