Running back RJ Harvey has been nominated for NFL Rookie of the Week after his performance in the Denver Broncos’ 24-17 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders. Harvey recorded a career-high 100 scrimmage yards and scored a touchdown during Sunday’s game.
The rookie, who was selected in the second round, had 23 touches and averaged 4.2 yards per touch as Denver completed a season sweep of Las Vegas. Harvey is now one of only six rookies since 1990 to have at least five rushing touchdowns and four receiving touchdowns in their first season. He currently leads all rookies this year in scrimmage touchdowns.
“He can do so many different things and do them well,” said quarterback Bo Nix.
This marks the fifth time this season that Harvey has been nominated for NFL Rookie of the Week. He previously won the award following his performance against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 8.
Other nominees for this week’s award include Shedeur Sanders from Cleveland, Harold Fanning from Cleveland, Nick Emmanwori from Seattle, Devin Neal from New Orleans, and Kevin Winston from Tennessee.
