Safety Talanoa Hufanga has been named the Denver Broncos’ nominee for the 2025 Art Rooney Sportsmanship Award, according to an announcement from the NFL on Wednesday.

The award recognizes NFL players who exemplify outstanding sportsmanship. Each team nominates one player for consideration. Former players Warrick Dunn, Larry Fitzgerald, Curtis Martin, and Leonard Wheeler will select four finalists from each conference to appear on the Pro Bowl ballot in December. Current NFL players will then vote to determine the winner.

“Sportsmanship is at the very core of the game, the foundation of our values that are shared across all levels of the sport,” said Troy Vincent, NFL executive vice president of football operations. “These Rooney Sportsmanship Award nominees demonstrate to the world how the game is played with respect and integrity at the highest level of competition.”

Established in 2014, this award honors Hall of Famer and former Pittsburgh Steelers owner Art Rooney Sr. It is given annually to a player who best demonstrates qualities such as fair play, respect for opponents and officials, and integrity during competition.

The recipient of this year’s Art Rooney Sportsmanship Award will be announced during NFL Honors in February.
